Ratan Tata death: Veteran industrialist Ratan Tata died at a Mumbai hospital

Veteran industrialist Ratan Tata died at a Mumbai hospital late on Wednesday. The Tata Group's chairman emeritus was 86. Mr. Tata has spent the last few days in the Breach Candy Hospital in south Mumbai.
Mr. Tata was hospitalized on Monday (October 7, 2024) for age-related reasons and to control his blood pressure. Prime Minister Narendra Modi condoled Mr. Tata's passing, describing him as a brilliant corporate leader, kind soul, and outstanding human being.

According to a statement, the Congress "is deeply saddened by the passing of Padma Vibhushan Shri Ratan Tata, a titan of Indian industry and a philanthropist who shaped India's corporate landscape."
